Defending the TITLE!!!!

Winter Season is upon us!!!! Your Pirates are ready to get back to work on the hardwood, mat, weightroom, and lanes!!! Piper Cheer Takes 3rd Place!

Your Piper Pirate Cheer squad traveled to the Stormont Vail Expocenter this past Saturday and competed in the 3rd KSHSAA Game Day Spirit Showcase. The Pirates performed 3 routines, Fight Song, Crowd Leading, & Band Chant. After the preliminary round, the Pirates had a 194.833 score!!! Going into the finals, only 6 teams remained: Ft Scott,


Summer is coming to an end and the school year is upon us. Here are some dates to remember before the 2019 Fall Athletic season begins: August 12th – 9th & New Students Orientation at the HS (7:30 am-10:30 am) August 13th – 1st Day of School for all students August 14th – Fall Parent/Coaches

Piper Dance & Cheer Signings

Piper Senior Taylor McEachron will be attending the oldest university in Kansas and continue her dance career! Congrats to Taylor and Baker University.   Piper Senior Alyia Cantrell will be taking her state champion talents to the University of St. Mary’s in the fall. Congrats to Alyia and Go Spires!

Cheer Team Tryouts!

  It’s that time of year again! CHEER TRYOUTS! There is a parent and team candidate meeting Thursday February 28th at 5:30pm in the library prior to senior night and the sub-state girls basketball game. All parents and interested team candidates must attend and pick up a tryout packet with Coach O’Boyle and Coach Forrest.


What a great weekend for the PIRATES!!!! Had several events going on this past weekend and here is a condensed version of the results: Bowling @ Mission Bowl/Olathe V took 3rd place with a 3044 team series and Jr. Brendyn Bard took 1st place with a 633 series Debate @ Lansing 1st place PF –

Piper Cheer Team Headed To State!

This Saturday the Piper Cheer team will be headed to Topeka to compete for the 4A state title at the Expocentre. The team competes in the preliminary competition 3 separate times in the areas of “Crowd Leading Cheer”, “Band Chant” and “Fight Song”. They are judged on synchronization, crowd involvement, use of props and enthusiasm.

Little Pirates Cheer Clinic

Thank you to those that supported the PHS cheer team at the Little Pirates Cheer Clinic! We had a lot of fun and hopefully inspired some future cheerleaders. With the proceeds we were able to purchase new pom poms and megaphones that will debut this Friday at the Homecoming Game. THANK YOU!
